Sprinter,Caster Semenya On Suicide Watch

Approximately four weeks ago, the World Championships were set ablaze by the record setting time of 1:55.45 in the Women's 800m event by precocious teenager, Caster Semenya of South Africa. The raspy voiced 18 year-old was all smiles as she proudly trailed her country's flag behind her like a symbol of pride, after earning a gold medal in the event. Her happiness would soon be short-lived. No sooner than her World Championships gold been awarded, due to her record times and masculine appearance, questions regarding her gender were already circulating among members of the IAAF (International Association of Athletics Federation). Since being subjected to a gender verification test, reports from two Australian newspaper ('The Daily Telegraph'') have leaked unconfirmed reports that Semenya has an intersex condition, better known as hermaphroditism (having both male and female sex organs/genitalia).
